All DIY Driver products carry a 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, starting from the date of delivery.
What Is Covered (12 Months)
- Failure of internal electronics — control boards, power regulation, and processing components
- Failure of the item to power on or function as described, where the cause is a manufacturing defect
- Defective connectors, ports, or cabling supplied with the product
- Speaker or audio driver failure from a manufacturing fault
- Battery failure to hold charge within the first 6 months
- Switch, button, and mounting hardware failure
- Structural defects such as failed threading, housings separating, or components loose from the factory
What Is Not Covered
- Damage from incorrect installation, including reversed polarity or incorrect voltage
- Water or moisture damage, unless the product is explicitly rated for it
- Damage from a collision, impact, or an object striking the vehicle
- Damage from unauthorised modification or repair
- Cosmetic wear — scratches, scuffs, fading, or finish wear from normal use
- Consumable parts that wear with use, such as adhesive mounts, fuses, and bulbs at end of life
- Battery capacity loss after 6 months, which is normal degradation
- Damage caused by an incorrect power supply or charger
- Items lost or stolen after delivery
- Fitment problems on vehicles not confirmed as compatible before purchase
Consumer Consumables
Some parts wear out by design and are not defects: brake and tail bulbs, wiper blades, adhesive pads, and fuses. These are covered only if they fail unusually early — typically within 30 days — which indicates a manufacturing fault rather than normal wear.
How to Make a Claim
- Email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the fault.
- Include clear photos or a short video showing the problem. For anything intermittent, a video is far more useful than a description.
- We assess and reply within 1 to 2 business days.
- If the claim is covered, we either ship replacement parts or provide a prepaid return label and repair or replace the item.
Repair and Replacement Time
Simple cases where we ship a part to you: 3 to 7 business days for delivery. Full replacements where the item comes back to us: 7 to 14 business days turnaround, plus shipping time in both directions.
Out-of-Warranty Repairs
For damage that is not covered, or for items past the warranty period, email us with photos and a description. We cannot always help, but for products we can still source parts for, we will quote a paid repair or replacement rather than leaving you stuck.
Your Statutory Rights
This warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not replace them. Where local law grants you stronger protections, those apply.
